Parlodel is applied for treating Parkinson's disease. You may use it alone or with other remedies. It can improve your ability to move and decrease shakiness (tremor), stiffness, slowed movement, and unsteadiness. It also reduce "on-off syndrome". You may apply the medication for treating some hormonal disorders as, for example, unwanted breast milk, missed/stopped periods, difficulty becoming pregnant, decreased sperm production, and decreased sexual ability caused by some chemical substances in your organism (prolactin). Avoid using the medication for stopping unwanted breast milk after pregnancy, miscarriage, or abortion, because of risk of parlodel side effects such as seizure, heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke. You may also take the drug alone or with other treatments to lower high growth hormone levels (acromegaly). Parlodel is also used to treat prolactin-secreting tumors or lowering the tumor size before surgery or to control symptoms until other treatments start working. The principle of work of bromocriptine consists in restoring the balance of a certain natural substance (dopamine) in the brain. It also prevents the release of certain hormones (growth hormone, prolactin). The remedy may reduce hormones level, but it doesn't cure the reason of this disorder.
